About Us

Identity played live Christian rock music from 2000 through 2006. We had shows about once every three weeks.

Our sound featured spirited female vocals, tight harmonies and progressive rock rhythms. Think Jaci Velasquez meets Deep Purple.

More than a dozen radio stations played Identity tunes, and we were blessed with some nice media coverage.

Identity's Sara Pecchia won the 2002 Northeast Ohio CCM Rising Star Contest, sponsored by 95.5 The Fish in Cleveland. She won an Ohio Teens for Christ competition in Columbus in 2004.
In addition to our originals, we did covers of Rebecca St. James, Jennifer Knapp, Third Day, Relient K, Switchfoot, Stacie Orrico, Mercy Me and others.

We were serious about the Christian lyrics in our songs. The band did indeed rock. But for all of us this band was about sharing the joy, peace and eternal life that are available through Jesus Christ.

Our band's name reflects the fact that although we're all different, we share a common identity as Christians.

    UP FRONT: SARA PECCHIA

Sara started acting when she was 7, and was voted the Youngstown Playhouse Youth Actress of the Year in 2000 and 2001. In 2002, when she was 14, she won first place in the 2002 Northeast Ohio CCM Rising Star Contest, sponsored in Cleveland by radio station 95.5 The Fish.
